Today is the first day of December. Let the spirit of the holidays fill the air!
- It’s time to deck the halls with boughs of holly … fa-la-la-la-laa; la-la-la-la.
- It’s time to honor your financial giving pledges and otherwise get your accounts in order, so that you don’t have to render unto Caesar more than Caesar is due.
- It’s time to write out your Holiday cards (if you haven’t done so already).
- [Heck,] It’s time to re-winterize your house, so that you don’t have another pipe-freeze scare like last week’s.
AND among all the hustle and bustle of the season, it’s time to reach out to your neighbors. Why? Well, because it is in your best interest to be on friendly terms with them.
So, put their names on your card list. Take over a hermetically sealed box of Godiva chocolates. Sing them a carol or two. Consider inviting them over to your holiday party.
Remember these two points: 1. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. 2. People don’t generally sue people who they like.
